Interlibrary loan for foreign libraries

The library loans its books to remote libraries according to the same rules observed by local users.
Lists of available books are always at disposal via internet on the on line catalogue.

Application from foreign libraries:

Unlimited service for the library.

Fees and terms:

€ 5,15 for each required book (making a deposit on the postal giro account nr. 24853509, made out to "Comune di Empoli - Servizi di tesoreria", writing as reason for payment: "Servizi a pagamento della biblioteca"). The library which applies for the book can choose who the sum is paid by, either the library itself or the user.

What the remote library should do:

Find out the document on the on line catalogue;
If possible, call the information desk (0571 757840) first to check if the item is available
Send the loan application using:
- Fax: 0571 757832 (Application form: modello ILL2);
- E-mail: biblioteca@comune.empoli.fi.it, (Specify the book details);
The library of Empoli will send the book by ordinary rate postage (different arrangement excepted);
Ask for any possible renewing sending a new fax or email before the due date;
Send to the library of Empoli a copy of the payment receipt together with the returned book.
